Classroom grants for Pike educators

Each year PTEF offers thousands of dollars in grants to Pike Township educators to finance innovative ideas that help children learn. Since 1993, PTEF has distributed more than $660,000 in grants and classroom support.

Traditional grants

Funding for ideas that help children learn

Grants can affect a single classroom, a school, multiple schools, or the whole district. Any Pike Township teacher, group of teachers, administrator, school personnel, student or student group, or parent group may apply.

PTEF provides feedback on grant ideas and pointers on writing your grant before you submit a full application. To get feedback on a possible grant idea, submit our grant feedback request. The easiest way to apply is online, but educators may also submit a paper grant application.

How the grant cycle works

Grant applications are reviewed five times each year, and recipients are voted on at the October, December, February, April and June board meetings.

  • SeptemberReviewed at the October board meeting
  • NovemberReviewed at the December board meeting
  • JanuaryReviewed at the February board meeting
  • MarchReviewed at the April board meeting
  • MayReviewed at the June board meeting, if funds are available

Already received a grant? Please submit a final grant report within one year of your award.

Super grants for district-wide programs

PTEF supports several district-wide programs through "super grants." These are generally large-scale projects, often initiated by the school district, with their own application process and requirements. If you have a big idea that would improve the educational experience for a large number of students, we want to hear about it, even if you don't want to implement it yourself.
